At school my friends and I chose to join the 'Made from the Heart' three day episode. Over the course of three days, Morgan, Alana and I made three quilts for premature babies in Middlemore Hospital. We made two for male babies and one for a female baby. Knowing the intention of the three day episode was for a great cause, we were all eager to make an amazing quilt that would keep a baby warm. We picked up the skills of quilt making fast and so by the end of the third day we were surprised but extremely proud that we had managed to make three quilts as opposed to one! Thanks to our learning leaders, Miss White and Miss Kelly, our three day episode had a lovely, caring atmosphere and most of the learners are interested in continuing 'Made from the Heart' in i-extend.
